Private schools demand 10percent fee hike |

Association Sindh (APSMAS) Syed Khalid Shah has demanded of the Sindh Education
Department to allow the private schools to increase their fees by at least 10
percent.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday at Karachi Press Club, he said that the
private schools of the Sindh were facing financial crisis due to increasing
bills of gas and electricity, building rental, maintenance, increase in salaries
of teachers, security arrangements, taxes and other expensive, so the government
should allow them to increase their fees by 10 percent of instead of routine
practice of 5 percent per annum. Shah also demanded the Directorate Private
Institution Sindh to establish a complaint cell for administration of private
schools, so that they could lodge complains about their problems. The APSMAS has
directed its all district officer-bearers for establishing relief camp at the
private schools of interior Sindh and collect commodities and funds for the
flood survivors, Shah said. He said that the APSMAS has also directed private
schools to participate in anti polio campaign. He appealed the district
governments to fumigate in vicinity of private schools to prevent spread of
dengue virus, while the management of private schools would also arrange
